Personal Stitches class

Morning, kiddies!

I read thru the Personal Stitches class Week 1 lesson last night, but I'm still not exactly sure which size sampler I'm going to do. There are attractions to both the long size and the postcard size. I decided to just start with gathering together the thread, so this morning I rummaged around and managed to find some I wanted to use. I decided to start with the orangey linen and after looking at the color wheel


this is the group of colors I came up with.



Now, I have to say that this was done first thing this morning, so my perceptions may have been off. We'll see what it looks like in person tonight when I get home! ;0)

I'm using Soie d' Alger silk floss and metallic thread and braid from Kreinik, Waterlilies and Impressions threads from Caron, some DMC floss and some #3 Perle Cotton. I will probably add beads to this also, but I'll choose those tonight.
